Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Summarize the prevalence and the social and economic burden and consequences of ADHD in children and adolescents.
  2. Describe the comorbidities common with children and adolescents who have ADHD and how best to treat them.
  3. Recognize the challenges associated with having a diagnosis of ADHD.
  4. Communicate effectively with the patient and family/caregiver to build relationships that will result in enhanced patient care.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of initiation, titration, and appropriate monitoring and follow-up of ADHD pharmacotherapy.
