Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize patient characteristics to appropriately diagnose pediatric schizophrenia and bipolar disorder while distinguishing these conditions from commonly co-occurring comorbidities and other psychiatric conditions
  2. Develop a comprehensive monitoring and management plan that uses a multifaceted approach to management, incorporating psychotherapeutic intervention and pharmacotherapy, such as mood stabilizers and antipsychotics, when indicated, and appropriately addressing concerns with adverse effects
