  1. Discuss new data regarding the interaction between genetics and environment, and how this affects the incidence of depression and response to treatment.
  2. Describe recent advances in nonpharmacologic interventions for treatment-refractory depression.
  3. Review efficacy, safety, and tolerability of new agents, including atypical antipsychotics, for the treatment of major depression.
  4. Identify new approaches to managing depression in children and adolescents.
