Learning Objectives Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: - Identify biologic agents used for immunosuppression with different actions and targets
- Describe the clinical presentation of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy
- List factors that predispose to reactivation of
hepatitis B infection in immunosuppressed patients
- Describe the lifetime risk for herpes zoster virus infection in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus compared with the general population
- Identify the hazard ratio for risk for herpes zoster infection associated with the use of different immunosuppressive agents
