  2. Identify those more likely to be found to have normal appendixes at surgery for acute appendicitis
  3. List the types of pathology likely to be found during histopathologic examination of appendicitis specimens
  4. Define the "clinical significance" of histopathologic findings for appendix specimens
  5. Identify the proportion of abnormal histopathologic findings on appendix specimens that leads to further clinical management
