Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the challenges and limitations of nonsurgical strategies for the management of patients with HCC.
  2. Evaluate the clinical evidence to date for targeted therapies as single agents and in combination with standard chemotherapies in patients with advanced HCC, and assess their effect on tumor necrosis and delay in symptomatic progression.
  3. Identify the limitations of current radiologic evaluations in assessing disease, and describe novel dynamic approaches for assessing response.
